We use it as a companion plant throughout our growing spaces, where its flowers help attract pollinators and support a thriving farm ecosystem. Sometimes, that means we end up with more beautiful basil than we can sell fresh.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003eRather than allowing that abundance to go to waste, our team found another purpose for it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003eWe harvest the basil and turn it into pesto right here at Fresh by 4Roots, making each batch in small quantities with extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, a touch of salt, and your choice of traditional pine nuts or sunflower seeds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003eLooking for a pine nut alternative?
